Theyiesinuo Keditsu (PhD) is a poet, academic, and cultural conservationist known for reviving Indigenous Naga textiles and women's narratives through her Instagram persona @mekhalamama. Her advocacy has revolutionized perceptions of mekhalas, promoting them as sustainable fashion and everyday wear, while supporting women-led businesses and indigenous crafts. She has authored poetry collections (Sopfünuo, Wake), a children’s book, and contributed to notable anthologies. With a PhD in Cultural Studies, her research focuses on Naga culture, indigenous feminisms, and folklore. Currently an assistant professor at Kohima College, she is also a public speaker and serves on various cultural and academic boards.
