Bijoya Sawian is a writer and translator who splits her time between Shillong and Dehradun. She has a Master’s degree in English from Miranda House, Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College. She explores the life and culture of the Khasi people of North East India in her writings. Her book Shadow Men, a novel and two stories, was a finalist for the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize 2020 .
