
This poetry collection is primarily on and about Kaziranga, a National Park in Assam, gloabally known for its unique one horned rhino along with the fast-growing tiger population, elephants and other animals including migratory birds. Kaziranga attracts a large number of visitors, including tourists, scientists, nature lovers and research scholar from every nook and corner of the world, but it has more stories to unfold along with the alluring wild life. These poems focus on those underlying realities of pleasure and pain and thereby incorporating both people and places of Kaziranga.The poems also depict a picture of six Indian seasons, the twelve Assamese months of a year and their impact on the Kaziranga’s wild with special impact of Bardoichila, the pre-monsoon storm characterized by intense wind, heavy rainfall and thunder. The arrival of Bardoichila coincides with the Rongali Bihu, the Assamese springtime New Year festival. This collection is to some extent a travelogue written in a poetic way.
