Inakali Assumi is an author, researcher, and an educator. She has an MA, M.Phil and a Ph.D degree in English Literature. She has authored a collection of short stories, The Yellow Dress and has co- authored a collection of poems, Potpourri Poesy. She won the Best Objective Poetry Award for her poem “She” in the Magnum Opus Music and Art Festival, 2016. She is actively involved in research related to revival and preservation of vulnerable cultural heritage and has been awarded the Samvaad Fellowship by Tata Steel Foundation in the year 2022.
