Malsawmi Jacob is a contemporary author from Mizoram who writes in English, focusing on themes of identity, womanhood, trauma, and resilience within the Mizo context. Her work gives voice to underrepresented experiences from Northeast India through intimate and emotionally grounded storytelling. She is best known for her novel Zorami: A Redemption Song, which explores healing and survival in the face of personal and social turmoil.
