Kynpham Sing Nongkynrih is an Indian poet and writer from the state of Meghalaya. He was born on 23 July 1963 in Shillong, Meghalaya, India. Nongkynrih is known for his works that explore the culture, traditions, and social issues of the people of Meghalaya. He has written several books, including "The Yearning of Seeds," "The Circle of the Seasons," and "The Breath of Dawn." Nongkynrih has received several awards for his literary contributions, including the Padma Shri in 2018, one of the highest civilian awards in India.
