**🎫 We just launched something we've been dreaming about for a while — the Literary Passport.**
Here's the idea: Northeast India has eight states. Eight incredibly different literary cultures — the poetry of Meghalaya, the folklore of Nagaland, the novels of Assam, the memoirs of Manipur, the haikus of Mizoram, the stories of Arunachal, the hill voices of Sikkim, the quiet archives of Tripura.
What if your reading life on NortheastReads became a record of your journey across all of them?
**That's the Literary Passport.**
Every time you mark a book as Finished, if it belongs to one of the eight Sister States, a stamp quietly joins your Passport. No claiming, no signups — the stamps find you.
**Three milestones along the way:**
🎫 First Stamp — your first NE state read
🧭 Halfway Traveller — stamps from 4 of 8 states
🏆 Full Passport — all eight Sister States
And every Passport is shareable. When you send yours to a friend, they'll see your stamps and a cover from one of the books that got you there. A small, lovely way to show what the Northeast you've read looks like.
If you've been finishing books on NortheastReads for a while — your stamps are likely already waiting for you. We've credited everything retroactively.
**Eight states. Countless stories. One Passport.**
